Moments
Seemingly ordinary things can be pretty powerful in this context.

Lance Armstrong at Ride 4 Yellow
5 Years ago in August of 2005 we interned my Dad who had died of lung cancer. He never smoked, was super fit and the cancer appeared out of nowhere. We were both big supporters of Lance and watched the tour together every summer. By coincidence, the day we found out he had lung cancer, […]

Sydney Starts Second Grade

Growing up way too fast. Reminds me of a quote I once read:
The days are long but the years are short.
Good luck today Sydney!

Time & Attention
After a few super busy weeks with the Ride 4 Yellow event, oral surgery and a lot of work to complete I found my email inbox with 422 messages. There’s got to be a better way to approach and manage this stuff. This video addresses some key issues with email, communications, commitments, time & attention. I found it […]

200 = $100,000

Steamboat Summer Sunset
Summertime in Steamboat brings some fantastic sunsets I was lucky enough to capture this time-lapse video from our deck las night. This is a time-lapse created from 1 photo taken every 4 seconds for 30 minutes. Click here to watch in HD on YouTube

Vegas

Spending a few days in Vegas with the family. We decided to stay at the Red Rock resort about 20 min from the strip. Really nice place, great rooms & service. The sky was doing some funky stuff so I took this iPhone pic from the shuttle.

Drive
Insanely good video that illustrates much of what I believe in. Daniel Pink provides concrete examples of how intrinsic motivation functions both at home and in the workplace. Original talk video

3 Takeaways from Big Omaha

1. None of the presenters did it for the money. They were/are passionate about what they’re doing. The money followed. 2. They launched without having everything figured out. Then they engaged & improved. 3. They execute better than the competition. This was an insanely good conference from all angles. Can’t wait for next year! (Photo: […]

Ignite Boulder 10 Intro
This is the intro to Ignite Boulder 10 at the Boulder Theater on May 6 (shot on my iPhone). As one of the founders of Ignite Steamboat I was super psyched to attend this event and it rocked! From the production quality, to the presenters to the venue these guys put on a first-class […]
